A vengeful man took his anger against a family member out on an innocent dog. According to Newsday, 21-year-old Jose J. Galvez-Garcia of Springs, New York, has been arrested for choking and repeatedly stabbing a small dog who belonged to a relative.
The cruel killing
The dog, a four-year-old Cockapoo named Simba, was taken from his yard on Sunday – family members searching for the missing dog found Simba in the woods off of Breeze Hill Road on Monday morning. The dog had been mutilated with a kitchen knife.
Galvez-Garcia told the authorities that he killed Simba because he was angry over the way he had been treated by a family member – that family member, who has not been named, was Simba’s owner. Galvez-Garcia was arrested on Monday and taken to jail on a charge of aggravated cruelty to animals, a class E felony.
