On Sunday morning, David and Louise Turpin were arrested after their 13 children were discovered neglected and handcuffed to their beds in Perris, California. The couple’s two family dogs, however were found in perfect health.

The two dogs seized from the Turpin home will be adopted out via a raffle to a city resident officials from the Perris area animal control announced on Thursday. According to a news release, the one-year-old Maltese dogs – one white and one black are healthy, friendly and leash trained. Before being offered for adoption, they will be spayed, immunized and micro-chipped.

Interested parties are asked to submit their request in an email addressed to [email protected] between Friday, Jan. 19 and Friday, Jan 26. Include in the request your name, address, contact information including a phone number and an email address.

An inspection of any potential homes for the two dogs will be conducted by animal control officers. People deemed acceptable will then become part of a raffle and on Feb.5, an adopter is expected to be chosen.

    • Idiot. ALL lives count. What the hell are you even doing on an animal support page if you can’t even understand that. Get bent and get lost. ????

  1. Why raffle? Are they looking for another creep to adopt the dogs?
They should be choosing the adopter by doing screening to find best suitable home.

    • I was thinking the exact same thing but inspections of the homes of those wanting to participate in the raffle will be conducted to see if they can even take part.
