Justice, the dog dragged behind a bike and then subsequently beaten with the bike until he collapsed and became unconscious, is healing after undergoing surgery. According to the Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue’s Facebook page updating Justice’s condition, he still may need additional surgeries to remove a bullet lodged in his side.
Late last month, the Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue were called to help the shepherd mix after he was dragged until unconscious through a Detroit neighborhood behind a bicycle and then unmercifully beaten.
“We received a call about this poor dog that witnesses said had been being dragged behind a bike by a cord until he lost consciousness. After the dog lost consciousness the perpetrator then stopped the bike and began beating the dog with the bike. Thankfully some kind residents intervened and saved the dog from his abuser and then called us. This dog is now in critical condition and we are rushing him to a Veterinary hospital for emergency care.”
The eight-year-old dog had surgery to remove five tumors – all of which have been sent out for testing.

Two suspects were arrested and an investigation continues.
“There were a number of bones found at the location where one of the men accused of dragging and beating Justice was staying. We had an opportunity to examine some of the bones yesterday that had been placed outside in large garbage cans and we contacted authorities about the bones. Sometime later officers went through the bones and it appears some were removed,” the rescue posted on their Facebook page as a followup to the police investigation.
“We have had many people contacting us about the case against Justice‘s accused abusers. Unfortunately the prosecutor’s office returned the warrant and both suspects are under investigation however not currently being charged. We are disappointed in this status but are hoping that upon further investigation the suspects are charged and headed to jail.”
Justice has had many offers for adoption, but as of this time, he is still recuperating stated founder and director of the rescue, Theresa Sumpter.

This dog deserves justice and for all the others ones that died a horrible death at the hands of these monsters. If these guys get nothing there will be a public outrage and I will be right in the middle of it. What this poor sweet dog went through is just pure evil I hope the prosecutor dies his job because no one is going to stand for anything but justice
