Just 6-months-old, this is a severely neglected puppy who is nothing more than blood and scabs. He is malnourished and bleeding from every corner of his body. Is it no surprise that this puppy appears to have given up on life? His tiny body has nearly been destroyed from neglect and abuse. Rescued on Thursday and transferred to an emergency hospital, Dez showed everyone he wanted to live – and so he fights for his life.

“We wish we had better news to post on Dez, but sadly he is not doing well,” Rescue Dogs Rock NYC’s co-founder, Stacey Silverstein posted on Friday morning’s update. “Dez has elevated kidney values and a very low platelet count.”

Very early Friday morning, the puppy was moved from the Hillside Emergency Hospital in Dallas to an emergency around-the- clock-care veterinarian facility in Lewisville where patients with extreme life threatening conditions are treated. His ongoing care is expected to double over the $3,000 already spent. This morning he will receive an ultrasound and a blood transfusion. His condition remains critical.

Dez is just a puppy who didn’t ask to be neglected and abused; he continues to fight for his life. Click here to donate: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr…

  1. Pray Dez pulls through this horrible situation. His young life is fighting to live and so far he has the determination even though his blood count is low. Please dear God, make him a miracle pup that pulls through. I am certain there will be dozens lining up to adopt him.

  2. Lord, I pray for Dez’s healing and for his kidney values to be normal. I pray for a miraculous turnaround in the name of Jesus.

  3. Would pet rescue report please advise and update readers by email on how these skin conditions get started in dogs? Pets I have seen don’t have this and I wonder if it is from southern states for the heat there or what happens to a young dog gets so scabbed in such a short period of time!

  4. This poor little dog is the victim of horrific neglect and abuse – Dez is a baby and if he were human the abuser would be sitting in jail with either a huge or no bail attached – but since authorities have yet to open their eyes to the fact that animal abuse is no different from child abuse, then this human maggot who mistreated Dez will probably get little to no punishment if they are even found. PLEASE do everything to help this little innocent victim recover – he deserves the best treatment and a safe loving home.
