In a nearby village in Udaipur, Rajasthan, two puppy sisters were nearly killed after a wild animal attack. The puppies tried desperately to defend themselves, but were so badly injured, they barely could move. With multiple deep wounds on their necks and along their abdomens, they cried out in pain and fear.

When a compassionate family in the neighborhood found the puppies, they tried their best to apply antibacterial ointment to the puppies injuries, but the two needed extensive surgery and treatment to survive. Rescuers from Animal Aid Unlimited came to help; it was the two puppy sisters only hope for survival.

First came Charlotte who was too weak and in too much pain to move. Gently she was picked up and placed in the rescue’s ambulance.

Then came Lucy. She wasn’t as serious as Charlotte, but the swelling around her neck and the wounds were still quite severe.

Both puppies required 24/7 treatment until they became stabilized. For weeks they were treated,  their bandages were changed; slowly the pain and the swelling began to subside.

Whatever the cause of suffering, little ones sometimes need human help. Please donate for street animal rescue in India. https://www.animalaidunlimited.org/how-to-help/donate
