In a disturbing animal cruelty report in Tulare County, California on Wednesday, two men have been arrested for hanging dogs and beating them to death with sticks.
According to AbcNews, Tulare County Sheriff’s Office received an animal cruelty complaint in Orosi. When they arrived, deputies found two dead dogs. During the investigation into the dogs’ deaths, Angel Perez Valencia and Carlos Rivera were questioned and later told authorities they suspected the dogs had killed their baby piglets. Valencia is Riviera’s uncle.
The men admitted to hanging the dogs and beating them to death. Both men have been arrested and charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty.

At this time Rivera’s bail has been set at$50,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on Friday. Rivera’s bail is set at the same amount and is also scheduled to appear in court. Is is not known if the defendants will be charged with misdemeanor or felony animal cruelty.
