In Wyandanch, New York, the owner of two dogs found suffering from neglect has been charged with animal cruelty. The Suffolk SPCA stated Blanca Andrade’s two dogs suffered from extreme filth, matting and other health issues.
On Friday, Suffolk County SPCA officers responded to a call from the Babylon Animal Shelter about the two severely neglected dogs. The dogs had been picked up as strays. Ownership of the pups was traced back to Andrade, 49, who was charged with two counts of failure to provide proper sustenance which includes veterinary care. The animals were signed over to the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter by the Suffolk County SPCA.
Andrade is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on July 2, 2018.
Chief Gross said that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in Suffolk County. If you witness any incident of animal cruelty or neglect in Suffolk County please contact the Suffolk County SPCA at (631) 382-7722. All calls will be kept confidential.

From her picture, she sure looks like she has stuffed her face with enough food. What a piece of s___t! Why have a dog, and in her case 2, when you are too lazy or stupid (or both), to not feed and physically care for your dogs? Throw the book at her and never ever let her have and pet or living creature to take care of. Disgusting cretin. Thank goodness they will be taken care of and hopefully put up for adoption.
We need to get these abusers email address, facebook page or address and tell them how wrong they are. We don’t need to be mean or threaten but to tell them that society hates this kind of evil
These laws against animal cruelty need to be stricter because people are totally despicable in their treatment of animals.
I hope these dogs will be taken care of and adopted asap.
