Homeless dog is overwhelmed at busy shelter
Spread the love

It’s a bad situation for six-year-old Mickey. The miniature poodle is overwhelmed by the barks and cries of other impounded dogs at the Carson Animal Services facility, which is currently packed to capacity.

On Sunday, the volunteer run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, wrote about the dire situation:

“Emergency – shelter is full! No Empty Kennel Space!!”

Packed to capacity

It is a bad situation for Mickey, and every other homeless pet that is being held at the busy California animal shelter. Adopters are needed, as are people who are willing to foster. You can see the concern and confusion in Mickey’s eyes…he has no idea why he is here, or when he will be able to leave.

What can you do?

You can help Mickey by sharing this article, which has his adoption information (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest). If you live near Gardena, California, please consider fostering a homeless cat or do – it helps free up space at the shelter, which ultimately saves lives.

  1. Mickey is adorable. Wish I lived in California to help and even foster him. He looks so helpless. Hope a rescue gets him. Wonder if he has a family that is looking for him. Shelters should advertise lost/found dogs every day in the papers and it should be available for all shelters for free. So much money wasted on garbage and getting the word out about these poor guys/gals,should be the minimal the communities do for their shelters.

  2. Someone in the area at least foster mickey he looks so scared and lonely wish I lived closer I would foster 5 if I could to save them from getting killed please someone open up your heart for poor mickey please
