A Texas man was arrested last weekend after he allegedly was caught in the act of having sex with a neighbor’s dog. According to KWTX News, 27-year-old Philip Mercon, of Bellmead, was taken to the McLennan County Jail on Saturday after being caught in a canine sexual encounter outside of a home on Montrose Street.
The damning allegation
A man allegedly witnessed Mercon “sexually abusing a dog” in the early morning hours on Saturday – when confronted, the man accused of bestiality fled. The authorities responded to the scene and informed the dog’s owner of what allegedly took place – there are no reports of injury to the victimized male dog.
The police were able to apprehend Mercon without incident – he is facing multiple charges, including bestiality, a state jail felony, as well as evading arrest and criminal trespass. Bestiality was banned in the state of Texas after it was signed into law in 2017. People convicted of bestiality could face up to two years behind bars.
