At the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter in California, some dogs are so terrified and traumatized, still photos are unable to show us how many pets react when captured. These bonded dogs came into the shelter together last week; they had been chased, placed in an animal control truck, checked into the shelter and pushed into a kennel in an unfamiliar and noise clamoring environment.

Watch their brief heartbreaking video; their world has been truly shattered:

Both dogs will be available for adoption on March 22. Their PetHarbor links are as follows:

For more information, a Facebook page has been set up to help these two terrified and traumatized dogs find a safe and loving home. Share their tragic story; sharing saves lives.

To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your having your favorites among those to “see first.

  1. Sure wish there was a Chi Adoption Connection that transported, would love to foster these 2 scared pups, and help them stop shaking. Please, as always, someone help & thanking you in advance.

    • I agree with you 1million%+++

      I would foster (& probably “fail”, adding these treasures to our family) in a heartbeat IF I could have them transported to Northern California (near San Francisco)……
      Since I am unable to get the help to transport these treasures, I can only pray someone who lives near this shelter can adopt these treasures so they are in a loving furever home where they are precious family members……….

      • Don’t know if you are familiar with “Freedom Train Animal Rescue Transports’ which is an all volunteer service that will transport animals to safe locations – they can be found on the internet under ‘[email protected]. They may be able to help you if you are serious about foster these two adorable terrified dogs.

  2. Please help them can’t anyone sit with them and show them some love please I so wish I was closer to help them this is beyond sad

  3. Hope & pray these two dogs owner(s) find them and take them home. Strays picked up like this should be noted in all papers until either their owners arrive to pick them up or they get adopted. Many who has lost their pets don’t call all surrounding facility and only contact local shelters. Their pets could be in a facility a good distance away, and many never bother looking there. If micro-chipped, makes it so much easier for pets to be reunited with owners. Also don’t charge owners a large amount of money to reclaim their pet. Many could be seniors or lacking in finances, but the important thing is reuniting pets with their owners when lost.

  4. I wish I could help these tiny ones!! The shaking and shivering and their faces really breaks my heart!! I hope their owners or fosters help them to be happy again!

  5. Heartbreaking. Please keep us posted. i would take them if a volunteer transport (like i volunteer for) could get them to roseburg or. I have room in my bed for a couple of small ones.

  6. This is so heartbreaking to watch. You can see that both dogs are terrified and scared in these sort of places.
    I hope that they won’t be separated when they are adopted and be kept together.
