The Louisiana teenager who was caught on video swinging two dogs by a leash has been found guilty of animal cruelty. According to WAFB News, the 15-year-old was found guilty of two counts of animal cruelty and will be sentenced in 30 days.

The graphic video showing the criminal act went viral on Instagram in early January, and calls for justice poured into the office of Iberville Parish Sheriff  Brett Stassi who launched the investigation into animal cruelty.  The Instagram video which was first shared publicly came from the account of  cammrawwazz – the account has since deleted.

An investigation revealed the identity of the teen responsible for swinging the dogs, but Juvenile Court Judge Pamela Johnson refused to issue a warrant for his arrest. It wasn’t until the case was transferred to another judge that a warrant was issued and then delivered to the teen’s mother.

  1. He probably refused a plea deal because he is cocky enough to think that he can do what he wants. Good for these jurists. What is wrong with a judge who won’t sign a warrant for his arrest? That doesn’t make sense. He committed a crime. I am seeing more and more that some judges can’t interpret law right.

  2. Glad the sheriff realized that this crime could not go unpunished. Juvenile Court Judge Pamela Johnson
is an insult to our legal system and just shows where her head is at with these juvenile offenders. Thank god this judge will sent that right.

  3. Hopefully the Judge will see that this YOUTH NEEDS and INTERVENTION or He will continue down the Road of Abusive Behavior and Torture of Small Animals and moving up the Chain to humans at risk ie elders, small children, handicapped, and He will start maiming , torture, and eventually Killing!!! Put a Stop to this NOW!!!

  4. In police K9 “training,” this is called “helicoptering.” And, as usual, the K9 units get away with it (and so much more) while many people, including in the “humane” community, remain in denial.

  5. Juvenile Court Judge Pamela Johnson ought have a rope put around her neck, attached to a machine and swung around like that until she passes out. When she awakens, let’s ask her if she still thinks it’s okay to treat an innocent animal like that. Yes, she is an animal for REFUSING to uphold the law and I suspect it’s because this kid is black; had it been a white kid, she would have shown NO MERCY! Charge her defunct, sub-human maggot ass with dereliction of duty, supporting violence against animals and juvenile criminal behavior.

    • If you want to see these abominations in action, infiltrate a K9 unit, and you will see it all the time. The swinging is called “helicoptering.” Then there are the slow hangings, and the kickings, the electro-shocking, slamming to the ground. Look up one of the the military and paramilitary K9 “trainers” favorite books on Amazon. It’s titled “The Koehler Method of Dog Training,” by a one-time military trainer named William Koehler. Read their praise of this book, which advocates slow hanging, beating with a sand-filled rubber dowel, including across the muzzle, kicking, and near-drowning. Everyone needs to come out of that comfortable little space where “It’s just some guy over there,” and realize this is ongoing institutionalized cruelty in the military and police/sheriffs departments.

    • Mark, It DOES pertain to the SUBJECT MATTER. I know it makes people feel good that they don’t have to do anything except state that the judge should have “NO MERCY” on some guy on the street who does this, athough that is most definitely a DOUBLE STANDARD, when the police K9 handlers are getting away with it (and getting paid with OUR TAX DOLLARS). People DO need to know this.

      • No it doesn’t pertain to the subject matter…has nothing to do with K9 handlers. When it does then we shall speak out until then keep with the subject matter and let’s not stray from the article. You have problems with K9 handlers? May I suggest for you to start a blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • The subject matter has everything to do with swinging dogs around at the end of their leashes (called “helicoptering). And, my comment about some people (or group of people), no matter who they are, getting away with it, while the public calls for the punishment of others, IS relevant.

  6. Should be, but will he be? When do we see real justice for this poor animals? Nothing will change until abusers are made to cool their heels in a real jail and for a significant amount of time. Come on judge, show us your stuff!

    • Yes judge, show us your stuff, by going after your peers in the “law enforcement” family FIRST – the K9 handlers who are getting away with it, day after day.
