Pup distressed after being surrendered
Spread the love

A pup, surrendered by his owner on Saturday (April 7) is devastated over the sudden change in his life. At just 10 months of age, Zen is confused and heartbroken to find himself locked away behind bars at the Harris County Animal Control agency in Texas.

A short video clip shows the depth of this pup’s distress…he is licking the bars and drooling, sure signs that he is scared. Zen no longer has an owner to be his advocate – he is relying on the kindness of strangers to help save his life. Please take a moment to share this pup’s adoption information – you may be the one responsible for saving his life.

To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

  1. if people were to see their dogs as family members and as one of their kids, this wouldn’t happen so much. I know there are certain circumstances why someone would surrender a dog, but they should be the exception, not the norm. I am so heartbroken for this baby.

  2. Poor Zen he’s so scared what is wrong with people just dumping their dogs off it breaks my heart please someone please help this baby

  3. I hate these people that dump animals – don’t care what the reason – to take a 10 month old dog and just discard it like a disposable object infuriates me. PLEASE some kind person rescue Zen – he did nothing wrong except be homed with some idiot who treated him like an old shoe. And, this being Texas, a state which also treats animals like disposable objects – they will kill him in a heartbeat never giving him a chance to grow up. Zen needs a home, not a couple of miserable weeks in a crap shelter.

  4. The Whole state of Texas is REALLY NOT Really vested in ANIMAL WELFARE as “ALL ” frequent posters on this site are Well aware of BUT Harris COUNTY is by far the WORST for EUTHANIZA and JUST NOT REALLY DOING MUCH to ASSIST IN FINDING HOMES for these POOR LITTLE GUYS!!! WHAT nice PET Zen would make a vested family… I sincerely hope that there will BE a CHANCE for him to SURVIVE… it seems the only ones rescued are the tortured and battered that DOGS ROCK N.Y. RESCUES !!!! ZEN isn’t torn to shreds so he doesn’t have much of a chance it appears!!!
