On Wednesday, a starved dog, in such dismal physical condition that his temperature initially could not be read, was found in a Walmart parking lot in Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania. Humane Officer Megan Fritz, with the Humane Society of Westmoreland County, told WTAE News:
The dog’s body condition is to the point where his prognosis is very guarded. We don’t know if he’s going to pull through. I have never seen a dog this emaciated still walking.”
Adding:
After three hours of being on heated blankets, heated towels, we finally got his body temperature up to 92 degrees, so he was below 92 degrees when he came in,
The starved dog
On Wednesday, the Humane Society of Westmoreland County stated:
It just never stops. This dog came in this morning from animal control. It is a starvation case. Our vet has it on an IV and small amounts of food. She says it is the worst she has seen.
Cruelty investigation
The animal welfare society is hoping to find out who is responsible for the dog’s pitiful condition. Anyone with information is asked to call the shelter’s Humane Line at 724-689-2749.

How and why do scum do this to their animals? Take the dog to a shelter and say you found it wandering the streets. Lie if you have to so that they take the animal in. At least you would have done something, minimal as it is, to get the dog some care.Hope they find this cretin and make him/her pay for this dogs care. Hope this dog pulls through and can find a loving home to stay in forever.

This poor innocent wasn’t seen until nearly dead? At Walmart where there are thousands of people? Is everyone blind or so interested in bargains and saving money that they cannot see or help a suffering being? Hempfield, Pennsylvania, I do hope you are not that cold. Someone out there knows who abandoned this baby. Please show decency and turn them in. Prayers for that sweet little being that is in so much danger now.
