A special needs shelter pup named Valor needs to have his “blankies close by” because he likes to suck on them to comfort himself. The extremely friendly, three-year-old hearing impaired bully breed was surrendered to Animal Friends of the Valleys by his family on Thanksgiving – shortly after the birth of a baby.

According to the shelter, Valor was not getting along with the other pets in the family.

“Was an owner surrender because family had a new baby, and the dogs weren’t getting along. (I’m sure dogs were stressed, and not getting enough attention.) All dog temp testing at the shelter has been positive and Valor hasn’t had any problems with males or females, and does not fence fight.”

Valor has become a staff favorite – is excitable but like most young dogs who  need to be trained, he does jump.
