The Grinch is alive and well in Dallas, Texas. On Friday, while the Alvarado family was away at work, a burglar broke into their home and stolen Christmas presents, jewelry and their dog, Smokey.
Finding Smokey
Diana Alvarado created a public Facebook post after discovering that her beloved pooch was gone – she wrote:
Today Someone broke into our house between 8:15 am and 4:30 pm. They stole jewelry, all our Christmas presents and MOST importantly, our dog Smokey! We are offering a $500 dollar reward for Smokey our dog.
Alvarado told NBC DFW:
“Presents can be replaced, material things can be replaced. They also stole our piggy bank that we’d been saving for a long time. It was a water jug filled with coins and dollar bills, but we want our dog back. That’s the most important thing for us, is our dog.”
The authorities have been notified and Smokey’s family is posting fliers in the area with the hope that someone will come forward with the information necessary to bring their pup back home.

These vile monsters need to be caught and hung up for people to beat to death. What lowlifes to steal from a family just before Christmas and their dog, who is more important to this family than possessions. Hope their pup was micro chipped and with the financial reward, someone will turn these scum into police. Please keep us informed.
