On Friday evening, Snowy suffered the worst accident of his life. He was struck by a car, and instead of his family rushing him to their veterinarian for emergency care, they brought him to a Texas animal shelter known for its high rate of euthanasia. Rescue Dogs Rock NYC immediately replied to the urgent request for help. Snowy would be rescued.

“Snowy was surrendered by his owner to a Texas Kill Shelter in this horrible condition,” co-founder of the rescue organization, Stacey Silverstein posted on social media. He’s in pain and look where he is? He doesn’t deserve this. This is Snowy’s reality… Snowy is not going to die if we can help it, and he’s on his way to Pet Dr 911, an emergency veterinarian hospital in McAllen, Texas.”

As Snowy arrived at the hospital, he was carried in and admitted for emergency treatment. His filthy white coat and his legs were drenched in the blood dripping from the severe mouth injury; a broken jaw.

Snowy was immediately placed on a morphine drip, intravenous fluids and several other pain medications, including antibiotics to fight the infection. Veterinarians stated his pain must have been excruciating, but he has since been reported to be resting comfortably.

The dog will need surgery to repair his broken jaw and will be moved to a specialty hospital in San Antonio after he is stable and able to be transferred. Despite his injuries, however, Snowy has not shown any aggression as he is poked and prodded and had been abandoned by his family and left to die in a filthy kennel. How does one explain the kindness and ultimate forgiveness of a dog?

“We are amazed and in awe of his courage and his fight for survival,” Stacey continued. “Snowy has a long road ahead to recovery and we will be right beside him every step of the say. We hope you will be as well.”

What a bunch of low life POS heartless owners. All I can say is I hope one day they get hit by a car and someone kicks them to the curb so they can lay in their own blood dying in pain. This shit is as cold blooded as it comes. Wishing the worse for those asshole owners.

What a easy way out just can’t be bothered. It was okay when they shit in their diapers and their mothers had to change them. No words for these owners all I want to do it run them the hell over.

RDR of NYC have just helped Bruno on the 15th of this money and now this lovebug. What kind of family did he have that their first thought was to abandon him in a shelter? Hope if they have children, they dump them on the side of the road in the dead of winter with nothing and let them freeze to death. Snowy is safe and will be well taken care of by the selfless rescue group.

OMG: WTF is wrong with people???

This is absolutely disgusting. How can anyone be so callous and cruel?

Please throw the book at this POS family and find a new home for this precious treasure…….. That lot deserves to burn in Hell forever for their cruelty…… Here’s hoping they get there ASAP (after dying horrible deaths alone, afraid, in agony & (worst of all) unloved)……

I just want to snuggle this poor furbaby & reassure him the world is OK & he will be OK (inspite of the horrors he has been through)……. If I was in the area, I would volunteer to help this precious treasure…..

How many more depths of low can the human race stoop too? This poor sweet dog’s owners have dropped down to a new alltime record low. i cannot comprehend how anyone of the supposedly “highest of intelligence” creatures could possibly even contemplate doing what these owners have done? They make me feel ashamed to be a human honestly. How could they just dump their family dog with such horrific unattended injuries in a high kill centre? They didn’t even make an attempt to stem the blood flow from poor Snowy’# horrific wounds. These people really are the lowest. I’m starting to realise that when God handed out brains, 98% of Texans were behind the door. It’s time there were penalties applied to cases where dogs are dumped at shelters (particularly ones known as high kill centrist) – not as a deterrent but as a penalty for dumping though I suppose then, more poor animals would just be dumped at tips, in the bush etc. Poor innocent animals lose out at every turn and yet they are more worthy than most humans.
Thank goodness for the person at the shelter who showed compassion for poor sweet Snowy and contacted Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, as they will never leave any dog without medical attention they need, and I know they will do their utmost to give Snowy every hope of healing and full recovery before they set about finding an amazing new furever home for him with a family who really will love him and take good care of him all his life.
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC are a donation based organisation, so please, if you can, donate whatever you are able small or large amount, to help with Snowy’s medical expenses and ongoing care until they are able to find him that amazing furever home.
My Thoughts and Prayers for Snowy are that he will be able to have all the medical treatment and pain relief he needs to heal and make a full recovery so he can move on to his new life.
