Smiling owner surrenders full term pregnant dog to Texas high kill shelter

When an owner in Texas carried his full term pregnant dog into a high kill shelter with the tether still attached to her neck, the man smiled. Volunteers at the shelter stated the owner acted as if he was a proud father to be, and there he was adding to the over population in a world of unwanted puppies.

Shortly after the dog’s surrender, the unborn puppies were gone. A volunteer fills in the heartbreaking blanks:

“Like a proud father, he surrenders his pregnant dog with a tether still attached to her neck. She must have been raped unable to escape. Smiling, his gift to the overpopulation and constant killing of dogs. At full term she was spayed and her babies are now gone. The death is not over, 21 dogs now sit waiting to be killed today, including her!”

One more example of “you don’t need to be intelligent, caring, kind or compassionate” to own a pet. Shame on him, and Bless the little momma and her babies. i wish them a better future.

  2. Tracy Whitcomb says:

WTF!!!! Why did you kill those innocent babies. It was not their fault. You are just as bad if not worse than the owner who surrendered her. You all should be charged with abuse.

  3. Betty says:

    What a piece of shit
Texas need to get their act together
Shame on them for killing so many dogs and cats
plus the condition of the shelters are in

    • EB says:

This State is a fucking cesspool of people with NO fucking moral compass. It is why I am leaving soon with my rescued dogs and getting the hell out of this POS place. That owner and his whole useless family are the ones who should be exterminated. Removed from existence for forever. DFW is crawling with diseased and lowlife sub Humans.

  4. Betty says:

What high kill shelter is this
You put this post up but how can anybody help her if we don’t know the shelter ??????

  5. pennysdachshunds says:

SO What the Hell :: I am not sure which State to Bash (ALONG WITH ONE OF OUR BLACK LIVES MATTER MALE MORONS AND HIS SON) who appear to think the lose of several pup’s lives and the Poor mom that was UNFORTUNATE to have these two putrid low life scum for owners!!! It says she was turned in at a Texas Facility, yet the article indicates it is Fort Wayne IN. Also why in the hell abort the Pups and then Euthanize Mom!!! Totally Sick and Unforgivable !

  6. Ann Dolak says:

This article is confusing. It starts out owner surrenders full term prego dog To FORT WORTH TEXAS shelter, then at the end says FORT WAYNE, INDIANA& asks for donations.

    • Cheryl Hanna says:

My apologies Ann. It was supposed to read Fort Worth in Texas – not Fort Wayne. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

  7. slv says:

Why was she spayed at full term??? Couldn’t someone have waited a little longer and let the babies be born???
Sure there’s an overpopulation problem but really??? How could a “shelter” do this?? What a bad example!!!! Puppies are adopted faster than adult dogs.

  8. Adrienne says:

People like this scum need to be charged with neglect and allowing this to happen in the first place.Spay and neutering in every state must be mandatory or a huge fine if you do not do that. If you are a legitimate dog breeder, that would have to be looked into for each breeder and make sure they go by their own guidelines in breeding. Looks like she has been tagged and one of the lucky ones. Hope they all find a place to be safe and not killed.

  9. Denise Moore says:

So the shelter so clearly decided to murder the full term unborn puppies they are as big a champ as the disgusting owner that surrendered her. Humans are a parasitic curse on earth. All involved make me sick and they are not taking any responsibility for their actions just remember unintended consequences. Shelter are death camps for animals no wonder people just release their pets to fend for themselves . RIP puppies RIP momma dog they will kill you soon

  10. Diana Roby says:

Thank God she was rescued. This makes me ill. How could a vet do this? Don’t they have a similar Hippocratic Oath?

  11. Jan Barnes says:

Hope the bastard gets abandoned, too, someday! In the meantime, I hope he rots on earth and later in hell!

  12. Carol Reed says:

Sadly, in an effort to control the overpopulation of companion animals, more shelters are opting to spay pregnant females. In Indiana, roughly a quarter of the shelters have adopted spaying pregnant cats and dogs.

  13. Josephine Frazier says:

Please whoever close by, help them! And to the heartless monster owners, may nothing but karma awaits you!

  14. Melissa Gurley says:

I am in shock that you killed those babies that poor mother what kind of vet would do that all I can say is karma you will all pay some day to someone much higher

  15. Pandora says:

If they were going to send the mother to death row the spay/abort made no sense. But it did reduce the number of kills, as in many so-called shelters kittens/puppies killed during a spay aren’t counted in the euthanasia stats. Do not give more money to these places, they get enough of your tax dollars already.
