A puppy is lucky to be alive after someone shot her multiple times, and left her for dead in the middle of frigid temperatures and rain – a good Samaritan spotted the grievously injured puppy on the side of Highway 378 and picked her up. The pup’s hero, Lyn Walsh, told WLTX News,
“About a month ago, I was coming back to Columbia from Sumter and saw Grace on the side of the highway, on the side of 378. Knowing that it was 30 degrees that night and she was so skinny and it had been raining that day, I didn’t think she’d survive the night if I didn’t stop,”
Saving the puppy
The six-month-old puppy was taken to Dr. Tracy Wales at Four Paws Animal Clinic, who explained the cruel manner that she had been shot:
“It looks like somebody shot straight down on her and put another bullet in her as she was trying to escape. Who would do that to this sweet, little puppy?”
The puppy, dubbed Amazing Grace, has received the veterinary care that she needed to survive, and now she needs one more thing to make her miracle complete…a home. Anyone interested in offering this survivor a loving home is asked to reach out to Four Paws Animal Clinic at 803-790-7297. If you can’t adopt, but want to donate towards her care, you can phone in a donation and reference the “Grace fund.”
