A senior dog has been left with a broken heart after her owner surrendered her to a busy California animal shelter. The eight-year-old dog, named Tessa, arrived at the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena on April 19. The volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter dogs, wrote:

Sweet TESSA is really struggling in the Shelter and she needs some help now. Please SHARE for her life, she’s SO heartbroken and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save her. Thanks!

One look at Tessa’s photo reveals the depth of her fear and sadness – her eyes show her uncertainty. Tessa’s former family said that they no longer had time for her – now, Tessa is not guaranteed time and she is relying on the kindness of strangers to save her life.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

I pray someone helps this poor little girl. What a lame excuse, “don’t have time for her anymore”. A dog is a lifetime commitment. Shame on the “owners”!!!!

I just don’t understand how anyone could give up a family member…… My husband and I would have given up everything for more time with our precious little treasure MacKitty……
@ least this precious little treasure was left @ a shelter (where hopefully she can find a new furever family and be a beloved family member)…… much better than being dumped by a freeway or in the desert or in the woods (with remote chances of surviving)…..

These cruel acts by so called ‘owners’ infuriates the hell out of me -sure, dump an eight year old dog because you ‘don’t have time’ for the dog who loved your loser ass completely, and your selfishness you just take her to a shelter and forget about her – and you KNOW damn well Tessa has little chance to be adopted, but why should that bother a self centered bastard like yourself???? You have probably condemned her to death because you ‘didn’t have time’ – I truly hope this miserable nasty act comes back and slaps the crap out of you – like a fatal encounter with a tractor trailer on your way back from dumping your loving dog – you are total trash.

FFS when you take on a dog its for life and not discard it because you don’t want to keep the doc any longer. I call this bloody selfish and hope that your family does the same thing to you DISCARD YOU. I hope and pray that somebody adopts this fur baby before it is to late. Shared on face book

Sharing with love and prayers for his life and freedom. Asking God for miracle to find him a loving home. Oh why do people do this to their pets, I would die first and live in car before giving up my pet. Why could they have taken him to a no kill shelter
