Save a life: Neglected 14-year-old shepherd hidden in quarantine

A neglected 14-year-old German shepherd has been hidden in quarantine at the Carson Animal Care Center. Whoever surrendered him on June 9 should be ashamed. A shelter volunteer writes this heartbreaking memo:

“He looks so neglected and sad and he needs some help now, he probably never felt loved and cared for in his 14 years of life. Please SHARE for his life, he’s SO special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save him. Thanks!”

And now we are sharing Tye’s desperate plight.

#A5187728 My name is TYE and I’m an approximately 14 year old male German Shepherd. I am already neutered. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 6/9. I will be available on 6/9. You can visit me at my temporary home at C124.

WHY is Carson hiding this dog? He needs medical attention and to keep him locked up in solitary confinement is cruel – he did nothing wrong – he needs help, not to be ignored like he isn’t there. And WHY is this piece of shit owner being prosecuted for animal neglect? Tye is neutered and if Carson took the time to clean him up, give him a healthy meal and groom him, he would be a perfect candidate for adoption. I hate these shelters that do nothing but leave animals to languish – Carson needs to step up and help Tye – they are as culpable as this crap owner for his condition.

I vouldnt bear to watch anymore! You’re too guy those former owners are disgusting! They are the ones responsible for Tye not looking his best and they think it will be easy to find a good home for him? I hope there us someone out there fir him soon, like yesterday!! A couple of weeks of good food, a trip to the vet, meds for his skin condition, tons of love and he will be perfect!

He looks neglected he HAS BEEN NEGLECTED ALL HIS LIFE. Hope the POS owner dies in pain with cancer. What a disgusting asshole of an owner to treat this dog like that who never had a good life. I wish the worse on the owner. This shelter can’t help this dog live out his final years of his life in a nice way. If I was in California I would take him because he deserves it. Find the damn owner and contact authorities. Help this dog.
