Tiny senior Sam is just eight-years-old. This adorable little one looks quite fit for his age, and volunteers at Miami-Dade Animal Services brag about how he just might be the cutest little senior they have ever seen.

Click here for Sam’s Pet Harbor listing.  A1940243. “I am a neutered male, brown and black Yorkshire Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 8-years-old. I have been at the shelter since March 9. For more information about this animal, call:
Miami-Dade Animal Services at (305) 884-1101. Ask for information about animal ID number A1940243

Sadly, Sam’s family has not come to the shelter to find him, and this little dog sits in his cage wondering why no one has come to scoop him up into their arms and reassure him that everything will be alright. He hears all of the loud noises, all of the barking and wishes he could be lying in his own soft bed, in his own loving home watching Animal Planet with his family.

Sam’s video has been viewed more than 1,000 times. Surely someone wants to give this little angel a home. Please share his plight with friends, family, approved rescue organizations and social media friends. Sharing saves lives. Follow this dog’s Facebook page here.

You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your having your favorites among those to “see first.

  1. The person taking the video should show a bit more compassion like at least “booping” him on his cute itsy bitsy nose or try to stick in a couple of fingers soothe his snout or pet his arms!

  2. I wish I were in Florida……. he is totally precious…… our furbabies would welcome him as a snuggle buddy (they all miss MacKitty BIG TIME)…….

We all hope he can find his furever home ASAP!!!!!!!

  3. Wish I lived in Florida right now. These dogs are love bugs. Anyone who adopts him will not be sorry. Give him a chance to show you his loving side. Show him your humanity.

  4. Somehow these stray dogs need to be made public so that the actual owner knows where to look. Sometimes many try local shelters, but dog could be in a facility they never heard of before. Maybe all shelters and rescue facilities need to have a data base for all stray dogs so when an owner inquires in any shelter, maybe they can match the dog with the owner. Sad little guy just wants to go home. Hope owners find him soon.

  5. JUST LOOK at the DESPERATE Little Man REALLY NEEDING or HOME NOW or BE EUTHANIZED in Florida ONE OF THE 50 STATES IN OUR SUPPOSEDLY PROUD COUNTRY of THE UNITED STATES!!! WOW !!!!
