In San Antonio, Texas, the Humane Society of the United States has offered a reward for tips leading to the arrest of the awful person who left a starving and neglected poodle to die in an alley in the city’s Northwest side.
According to the press release posted by the Humane Society of the United States, the organization has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the responsible person for the death of the poodle found in an alley in the 5800 block of Babcock Road in San Antonio.
Dubbed Hope, the eight-year-old dog was discovered shivering, jaundiced and starving. She was so severely matted, she could barely move, and the smell emanating from her body because of mold was nothing less than pitiful. The City of Antonio Animal Care said this was one of the worst cases of animal cruelty the agency had ever seen. The staff members caring for Hope did their best to make her comfortable during her final hours. Sadly, Hope died.
The City of San Antonio Animal Care Services is investigating the case. Anyone with relevant information should call 311.
Rest in peace Hope.
