In North Tyneside, Newcastle, United Kingdom, a puppy suffered horrific injuries after his stoned owner bit the dog on his face multiple times. The eight-month-old Staffordshire Bull terrier, named Diesel, was seized by authorities after he was found with the terrible face injuries. When asked what happened to the dog, Tyler Laverick, 20, the dog’s owner replied:
“I was biting him. I was stoned.”
In addition, the puppy’s left side of his jaw was swollen, there was bleeding in the whites of his eyes, scratches and wounds on his ears and multiple wounds and scars to his front legs. A veterinarian, performing the examination on the dog, concluded the wounds to his head had been consistent with blunt force trauma and the injuries to his nose and ears were caused from bites.
“The vet believes that Diesel was suffering on the night of October 19,2017 due to injuries allegedly caused by his owner,” stated the prosecutor for the RSPCA.
Diesel has since recovered. It is not known if he remains with the RSPCA or if he has been adopted.
