A puppy, left unattended in a car while his owners dined on lunch, choked to death on a leash after trying to jump out of an open window. According to the Daily Voice, the tragic incident took place on Saturday in Stamford, Connecticut, not far from the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que.
The pup’s owners had rolled down the car’s windows, left a bowl of water, and secured their puppy to a rear seat before leaving – though the car was not found to be particularly hot (animal control officers tested and found out that the car’s interior temperature was 65 degrees), the pup still tried to escape and was hanged by the leash in the process.
Concerned passersby called the Stamford Police after seeing the puppy hanging from the window – though two officers rushed to the scene, it was too late. No word on whether or not the puppy’s owners will face any citations or charges.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”
