Pining away quietly, can someone save sad Nolan from shelter

At the Lancaster Animal Care Center in California, nine-year-old Nolan is quietly pining away. Technically, volunteers at the shelter say he has been there since August, and this friendly and social little guy is just so sad because he doesn’t have a family of his own.

Rescued by Loved Again Pets Featuring Nolan! Nolan has technically been at the shelter since August! He is very friendly and social with people and participates in Dogs Playing For Life at the shelter! Please help us find him a home!Lancaster CA – #A5206499My name is NOLAN and I'm an approximately 9 years 2 months old male chihuahua sh. I am not yet neutered. I have been at the Lancaster Animal Care Center since October 16, 2018. You can visit me at my temporary home L313.Playgroup notes:Nolan came out to the yard today with small and large dogs. Nolan is social and friendly with small dogs and is tolerable of large dogs. When a large dog came in to the yard he became vocal but did not mind them around as long they weren't in his face. He was tolerable when they would come sniff him briefly, but if the sniff was prolonged he would give a growl in warning of his discomfort. Today Nolan showed to be social with small dogs, tolerant of large dogs and likes human attention and solicited head rubs from the handlers.http://animalcare.lacounty.gov/animal-details/?animalId=A5206499Lancaster Animal Care Center5210 West Avenue I, Lancaster, CA 93536(661) 940-4191thread with extra pictures and videos https://www.facebook.com/networkinglancastershelterdogs/photos/a.1860073370895670/2213926715510332/?type=3&permPage=1— song is Into The Clouds – Nicolai Heidlas Music

He is adorable. I wish he could come up North (I am ~1 hour south of San Francisco). He would be very welcome in my home……. we would be delighted to have him!!!

We would love this little treasure.

I heard from and responded to 2 different people on Facebook about this little treasure but then never heard back…..

I hope it’s because he was adopted or already rescued……

Otherwise, we are still interested in Nolan as a Peters Puppy Pack member (he would have 2 rescued brothers: Wally & Al)!!!

To these people who are interested in adopting Nolan but are outside the area, get in touch with Lancaster ACC as most centres,n rescues and shelters have viounrteeers who will transport dogs anywhere across the country. They organise link ups lunteers in other areas to share the travel by road so the can get a dog to his/her new home. Pilots for Paws is a charity which does the same thing nationwide and there is no clear st to the adopting family unless they wish to contribute I believe. Can’t understand why Americans cans don’t know about these otions when I do and I’m in Australia. This is about the fourth time just this week that I’ve shared this information on here.
Thoughts and Prayers for precious beautiful Nolan to soon meet his ideal furever family so he knows he will be loved and safe for the rest of his life.
