Pathetic owner lied about dog’s scarred disposition to rescue organization

Leave it to a pathetic and dishonest owner who lied about his dog’s scarred disposition to a rescue organization who only wanted to help. And so it happened on Friday night in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Janine Guido, founder of Speranza Animal Rescue, presents a no-nonsense approach to saving animals. In many ways Janine is a one-woman army, but no one could be more proud of her volunteers and foster parents, who together with Janine, save the most abused and neglected animals with a focus on the bully breeds.

When an owner sent a text to Janine he needed to get rid of his dog or he would take it out back and shoot her, Janine agreed to help. When the owner told the rescuer the dog was great with kids and other dogs, Janine had waiting foster offers, so was sure the dog could be loved and cared for until a new home could be found.

“You showed up with your dog wearing a muzzle. The dog that you said was so friendly. You put my volunteers in a dangerous situation,” Janine posted on the organization’s Facebook page. “because you lied about your dog’s demeanor.”

For three days, Janine has been waiting to post to the former owner of the dog, and for three days she has tried to stay calm, but on Monday she was still filled with anger.

” I have walked by your dog’s kennel dozens of times since Friday. The kennel where she has not been out of. As I can not safely handle her. I have to see your dog in hysterics. Your dog that literally wants to tear into me. Your dog that has had her world turned upside down,” Janine continued.

Tragically, the owner never even left the name of his dog.

“Well, let me tell you something,” Janine wrote. “Your dog is breaking my heart. Your dog has been so scarred by you that I can’t even open her door to feed her. I have to throw it over the top. And when I do, your dog pancakes to the ground.”

And here Janine is – trying to pick up the pieces of a terrified and desperately depressed and broken-spirited dog.

“And I want you to know that I will do everything in my power to help her. To help her overcome the years of whatever horrible life she has lived. And I want you to know that your dog, now named Marlene is so loved – even if from afar.”

To the owner of this dog. I have been waiting to post since you showed up Friday night at the rescue. I have been trying to keep my cool , but after 3 days I am still filled with anger. You texted the Rescue phone stating you needed to get rid of your dog. And if we didn’t take her you were going out back to shoot her. You told us your dog was great with kids and other dogs. We had foster offers, so we could help your dog by taking her in. You showed up with your dog wearing a muzzle. The dog that you said was so friendly. You put my volunteers in a dangerous situation. Because you lied about your dogs demeanor. I have walked by your dogs kennel dozens of times since Friday. The kennel where she has not been out of. As I can not safely handle her. I have to see your dog in hysterics. Your dog that literally wants to tear in to me. Your dog that has had her world turned upside down. I know nothing about your dog. You would not even tell us her name. Well, let me tell you something. Your dog is breaking my heart. Your dog has been so scarred by you that I can’t even open her door to feed her. I have to throw it over the top. And when I do, your dog pancakes to the ground. I want you to know that I’m over here trying to pick up the pieces of a broken hearted and absolutely terrified dog. And I want you to know that I will do everything in my power to help her. To help her overcome the years of whatever horrible life she has lived. And I want you to know that your dog , now named , Marlene, is so loved. Even if from afar.

The owner terrified this dog. I am surprised he stopped his life long enough to bring the poor animal to the rescue

God bless you for helping this dog. Everyone, please get in touch with Cesar Milan and share this story. Maybe if enough of us do it he will look into it.

If the rescue knows the name and address of the owner, they should contact police and let them file charges against deceiving you with this dogs demeanor. A dangerous, vicious dog, that may or may not be saved due to this scum of an owner. He should be made to pay for all expenses for this dog and also let the police know that if they didn’t take the dog, he would take her in the back and shoot her.

All kidding aside what did she expect from someone who told her “he needed to get rid of his dog or he would take it out back and shoot her”? She should have been suspicious of a dog that someone was willing to shoot in the first place. I do hope she is able to do something with Marlene, that poor dog obviously has had a horrible life, I hope she calms down and realizes the bad days with the POS owner are behind her now and that the people she is with now want to help her.

I meant scarred as in whatever happened to this dog in the past has scarred her dispo. I’m sure she was scared too, however I wanted to relay the rescuer’s message.

A perfect example of a lying sack of maggot shit owner who obviously fought this poor dog – this asshole needs and deserves to be hogtied and dumped in a landfill with the rest of the trash. I truly hope this poor dog can be rehabbed and given a chance to get a safe loving home. Some people should have been an abortion, not a birth.

It’s wonderful someone is willing to do whatever they can to give this dog a chance for a real life. I hope Marlene will respond and become someone’s very special companion. God bless all of you that will make this a reality if it is at all possible.
