Update: Per the Friends of the Pasadena Texas Animal Shelter, there has been a rescue offer for Daisy.

After 11 years in a home, a senior dog was brought to an animal control agency in Pasadena, Texas, because her family was moving and she was not part of their plans. A volunteer who witnessed the elderly dog’s surrender recounted what happened at the Pasadena Animal Care and Control facility:

I stopped by the shelter on my lunch break and as I was leaving this poor baby was being owner surrendered after 10 years, they stated the reason was because they are moving. Her name is Daisy shes’s 11 yrs old.

Adding:

This is no place for any dog let alone a senior. Daisy deserves to live out her life in a home with love and a cushy bed. Please please network her!

  1. How do humans leave an elderly dog in a shelter that they’ve have for this long? They are moving and leaving a family member dumped in a shelter not understanding why she is not in her home or with her people. I hope and pray her family has a miserable life in their new home and suffer every day for what they have done to Daisy. She looks likes such a sweet dog, but I am certain she is very scared of being out of her element. Please network for her to find the home she was meant to be in for the rest of her life.

  2. I just don’t understand how people can just abandon their pets, specially seniors who need their love & care so much as they get older. All I can say is they are heartless people. They don’t deserve the love of a dog !

  3. Poor Daisy! And she wasn’t part of their plans??!!! Screw them! How heartless after 11 years!! How could they just dump her!! I’ll never understand that these people could do this 2 Daisy!! She’s a beauty!! I will pray 4 U baby Daisy, they you will get a 4ever home this time like U so deserve!!

  4. Texas ” The NO STAR STATE” This State Has the MOST UNVESTED , NONCARING, SUBHUMAN INDIVIDUALS IN THE USA next to CALIFORNIA (THE GUPPY STATE) I BET THEY DO THE VERY SAME TO THEIR KIDS —-ASAP– ABSOLUTELY NOT ONE ONCE OF AFFECTION, OR DEDICATION IN THEIR NARCISSISTIC BODIES…. I had a yellow lab Daisy Dog … She went blind and we had a sliding door put in the back of our home at the cost of over $1500 25 years ago so she would have to try and traverse 13 steps up and down the front… She lived to age 13!!! and the monies were worth it for her to be safe… I hope DAISY CAN FIND a RESCUE or HOME THAT WILL TAKE HER!!

  5. Oh how I hate and detest these vile and evil lowlife animal torturers who get sick of their precious and devoted dogs or any innocent animal and toss them away in these vile and evil high kill shelters. It is about time these monsters were treated the same. Eradicate every one of them from our planet.
My heart aches for all these precious and trusting sentient beings who are just tost away because of their vile and evil owners moving away who are so heartless and callous or just want to dump them where ever these fucking lowlife animal owners can without a thought of these precious sentient beings and the sadness and heart ache they endure. These vile and evil lowlife monsters must not be allowed to have animals for the rest of their vile and evil sadistic and callous lives.
Their must be records kept of all the precious animals that are adopted and their vile and evil families who dump them whereever not even caring for them or what happens to them.
Die you lowlife psychopathic depraved pea size brain monsters slowly. They are the monsters on our planet and don’t deserve to live or breath the air. Just kill the monsters. The filth on our planet. .

  6. Why is it so many people are ditching their senior animals? How many have we seen in recent weeks? It seems to me way too many, after all deserting one is too many. How will these people feel when one day their kids ditch them by booking them into a nursing home? Hmm, not a very nice thought and certainly an awful thing to happen. Wise up folks, you are giving up a whole bundle of precious love by being selfish but then, you don’t deserve that love because you are such selfish, cold, callous lowlifes and you know what else? What, that’s not enough for you?
I’ve said my piece, now I’m sending al, my Thoughts and Prayers to Daisy that her ideal family will come to meet her really soon so they can take her home to settle in with them in her real furever and know how well loved and well cared for she I’ll be for the rest of her life.
