In another deplorable act of animal cruelty, a 26-year-old Parkersburg, West Virginia man has been accused by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office of throwing his 2-month-old puppy out of a hotel room on Monday.
According to WtapNews, Christian Cottrell was released from the Wood County Jail after posting a $10,000 bond for one count of animal cruelty. Witnesses report they observed Cottrell drop, what they originally thought was a baby, from the second floor of a Comfort Inn motel. After an investigation, deputies discovered he allegedly dropped his 2-month-old puppy because “it did nothing but cry all the time.”
The condition of the puppy is not known, but when brought to an emergency veterinarian hospital, the pet was being treated for shock. Let’s hope he can survive. More details on this case as information becomes available.
