The original story
The abandoned dog, dubbed Lucy, was found in the area of St. Clair Extension, east of Erie Road. Lucy had been left, in near freezing temperatures, with an old pillow and crate. After being captured, she was taken to the Lake County Dog Shelter for care.
On Tuesday, Lucy underwent surgery for a huge growth on the side of her face – according to the shelter, she made it through surgery.
The shelter wrote:
The Veterinary Clinic will be monitoring her condition through the next few days. We thank everyone for their support.
