Matilda knows she has been forgotten by her family. Even those with commitments to adopt this eight-year-old English bulldog a second time, have not come to the shelter to meet her. And on November 28, when Matilda was surrendered back to the shelter, she hung her head low and seemed to have just given up on life.

UPDATE: Matilda was rescued by Southern California Bulldog Rescue and Tami Leckie with the help of Shawna Hamon and Sal Valdepeña!
