In Reading, Pennsylvania, it only took an eight second video for neighbors to suspect a man of animal cruelty shown beating a panicky, crying pooch on their surveillance video Monday.

According to Fox News, Mark Smith and Stephanie Bruner, with their surveillance camera mounted on their garage, showed a man carrying a dog by the scruff of his neck being smacked in the face. The dog whimpered loudly in fear and could be seen being carried into the back yard of the neighbor’s home.  Very upset about they saw, the couple loaded the video onto their Facebook page. The couple and animal advocates viewing the hard to watch video, want the dog removed from its home and placed with a family who will treat him with love and respect.

Police have referred the video to the SPCA. There have been no charges filed against the dog’s owner and he has not been identified at this time.

The video is very disturbing. Viewer discretion is suggested.

  1. I’d like to beat the shit out of that so-called male. I just wish reporters with stop referring to these maggots as men or a man. They are not. They are male but they are not a man or men. What about the dog. Fuck it – I’d go into the yard and take the dog. I wouldn’t give a shit if somebody saw me either.

  2. Cameras everyone. They are worth a fortune for protection and truth. This couple saved the life of an innocent. This innocent would have been doomed to a life of misery.

    • The offender still has the dog unfortunately the video went to Facebook then police last heading to SPCA . The Offenders have rights whether they are hurting the elderly children or animals that why hope is with the video caught by neighbors surveillance camera hopefully someone can get this dog removed before this guy kills it

      • Are you out of your mind?!!!! No they don’t have rights hurting elderly children nor animals! The police chose not to get involved!. If it were children…yes, but a dog…no!

  3. Glad they have video footage but they should have called the police immediately so the pup could have been removed. Who knows what happened to this dog?

  4. Please – they have the evidence, now the police and/or animal services should be doing something to get the dog away from the abuser! Or, if it was next door to me, I’d take the dog out of there, myself.

  5. This Putrid less than a human NEEDS and ENEMA with a thirty-eight to clear his mind … and send his soul to HELL !!!

  6. As others are saying, where is the dog, has the dog at least been removed from this monster’s house?

  7. Thank You, Mark and Stephanie!!! That asshole neighbor of yours is a coward and probable child abuser, also! What an idiot, I pray your court puts his savage ass in jail. 88% of animal abusers are child abusers! This is documented fact from a study out of Oregon. A very progressive state when it comes to animal rights. Thank God you have a camera and they idiot calls it “noisy neighbor”, proof of his stupidity, not ignorance, ignorance can be fixed. HE CAN’T. Your sociopathic neighbor is a threat and burden to society. Good Luck, honestly!

  8. Haven’t identified the sub human??? Oh please!!!! They know who that worthless POS is. Help the pup and rehome him!!!!

  9. I guess the SPCA moves slowly, have to go through “channels” no matter if the dog would be killed or not. I would have taken matters into my own hands before the dog is hurt or killed.
