A neglected senior dog is in need of the help of strangers – the 10-year-old dog, dubbed Lionheart, is being held at the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena, California. According to the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, Lionheart is “hidden” in quarantine.

On February 9, volunteers for the Facebook page wrote:

🚨🚨🐶NEEDS a FOSTER and RESCUE NOW!!🐶🚨

LIONHEART is a really beautiful soul and he’s in the back of the Shelter needing some help. Please SHARE, a FOSTER and RESCUE would save this sweet boy. Thanks!

This old boy needs to be enjoying the comfort of a home, and he is obviously in need of quality food, and good care. Please network Lionheart’s information and help him find the assistance that he needs.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

    • Tracy, only the shelter can move him. You would need to contact them directly. Their phone number is at the bottom of the post. Good luck.

  1. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP this sweet senior…. he is having trouble even walking. Please share, share, share. HELP THIS BEAUTIFUL OLD SOUL!!!

  2. Don’t know why Carson Animal Services considers itself a ‘shelter’ – shelters are supposed to find homes for animals, not hide them where no one can see them and pretend they don’t exist. This is deplorable to treat this beautiful senior dog so poorly. Lionheart deserves to be shown so some kind person can see his gorgeous face and take him home so he can have the safe loving environment he so well deserves. To just stuff him away is cruel treatment to this lovely dog.

  3. Just saw a rescue called Gray Muzzle rescue on Orcas Island Washington State…could Carson contact them about saving Lionheart??????
