Volunteers with the Animal Recovery Mission (ARM) removed hundreds of chickens, cows, goats, ponies and even some dogs and their puppies on Thursday from a farm in Sunrise, Florida after multiple reports of animal neglect and cruelty. The farm, located in a remote area off Commercial Boulevard appeared to be filthy.

According to the Facebook page of ARM, the animals were emaciated – some locked up with no water in the South Florida heat and high humidity. Richard Couto, the founder of ARM stated the group had gone undercover and subsequently notified the Sunrise Police Department concerning the egregious conditions and the condition of the animals.

Video of the conditions discovered by Animal Recovery Mission. Some starved goats had to be humanely euthanized by veterinarians. Many of the animals had been bound for slaughter – illegal and legal including sacrificing puppies for religious purposes.

The owner of the farm voluntarily surrendered the animals to ARM as police conducted their investigation. Disturbing images could be seen of chains hanging from trees and ropes where animals were  allegedly strangled according to ARM. The remains of dead animals were found, and some still alive were so badly injured and suffering, they had to be humanely euthanized by veterinarians helping out at the scene.

Foster care and homes are needed for the puppies. To adopt, please click here.

Even the smallest lives matter.

There have been no  animal neglect charges filed as of this time.

“Yesterday’s Animal Rescue Operation was far more dire than we ever imagined. Our incredible team is doing absolutely everything we can to save ALL the animals at this terrible slaughter station. BUT we need your help now more than ever with the mounting Vet Bills, Medical Supplies and our ability to provide these horribly abused animals with Proper Shelter and Food. If there is any donation at all that you are able to make, we would be Beyond Grateful. PLEASE, PLEASE VISIT:”

One more investigative farm that is shut down and how many more to go? So sad that some of these precious animals didn’t make it and had to be euthanized. The owner needs to be in jail for the rest of their lives and live on bread and water, if even that. Hard to believe that there are so many humans who do things like this to animals without a second thought if it is right. People and places like this need to be out in the open and publicized for this country to see what is going on and to speak up when they know this is happening in their neighborhood. Speak up for animals who can’t speak for themselves.

Sounds like Yulin, China is making its way here. This farm was already ANIMAL HELL.

God bless the rescuers and sweet baby survivors! Rest in peace, other precious animal angels!

HUGE THANK YOU to Richard Couto and his group ARM who stepped up and rescued these poor animals – I truly hope that the maggot dirt that ran this hell hole is charged with felony animal cruelty – actually, this hunk of pond scum’s name and address should be published so they can get all the hate mail, death threats and backlash they so well deserve. Apparently whatever owned this property was using these defenseless animals for consumption reasons – another waste of space that needs a fatal encounter with an 18 wheeler where his butt will be scattered across the highway – they so well deserve it.
