A horribly matted and terrified dog has been taken in at the Los Angeles Animal Services – East Valley Shelter in California. The five-year-old dog, dubbed Arleto, has been at the shelter since October 14 and he is hidden from public view because he is receiving extra care in the shelter’s medical department.
A volunteer shares insight
A volunteer photographer writes:
5 yo Male 14 lbs underneath all that matted hair (ouch). Came in as a stray and in terrified fashion, he was growling, and refused to walk on a leash.
Adding:
Likely he’ll feel a little better when they shave him. who thinks he’ll be white after a bath? He’s back in the medical department receiving extra care, but is UNSEEN by the public. Available for adoption at the East Valley Animal Shelter.

Poor Arleto! He does need bath and some grooming but he is still a beautiful doggy! I will pray he will find his 4ever home he so deserves!!
