Man’s best friend?: Clark left to die in dumpster behind school

If dog’s are man’s best friend, how could it be that someone abandoned Clark by tossing him into a dumpster in a rural corner of Blakely, Georgia? The terrified pup was left after having been tossed in the trash behind an elementary school while closed for Spring Break. Had it not been for a teacher who had come to work in her classroom, Clark would have died.

Welcome Clark to the Blakely Animal Shelter. Shelter volunteer Debbie begins his heartbreaking story:

Video #1

CLARK IS ADOPTED!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️His name is Clark, Part 1 of 2. EDIT: We are located in the extremely rural corner of Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. The nearest city of any size is Dothan, Alabama. ANOTHER EDIT: We are in Blakely, GA. The shelter’s number is on our FB page but we ask that you PLEASE don’t call to inquire about Clark because our shelter is staffed by one part-time person and she has a ton of work caring for the animals. Please contact us through FB or messenger and I promise we will get back to you. We are simply overwhelmed with the response this video is getting. Thank you all for caring. Clark has a few more videos posted and I will continue to do so. When you have a chance take a look. While he had improved significantly, we know he has a long road to recovery. For this reason, we feel that placement in a 501c3 rescue equipped to handled traumatized dogs is best for him and we are working to make this happen. FOBAS thanks everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the offers to adopt but we have to do what is best for Clark. However, we have other adoptable that also need a home. Please check them out. We would love to have an empty shelter! Our adoption fee is $65 and includes spay or neuter and rabies. We can sometimes help with transporting but out of state adoptions, while not impossible, are contingent upon others to help. We are a very very small group of volunteers with full-time jobs and families at home. We don’t get paid except in tail wags and purrs. Thank you again for understanding!…I tell everything I know about this terrified baby in the videos but some “human” put this dog, a living creature, in the dumpster behind the elementary school while the school was on Spring Break. If someone hadn’t come to work in her classroom he would’ve died there. He is terrified of people but I did get a small amount of eye contact and a half a tail wag. Have I mentioned lately that we humans don’t deserve the far superior creatures known as “Man’s Best Friend”? They may be our best friend, but we sure aren’t theirs. If you know who put Clark in the dumpster, message the name. I won’t tell who told me. I just want to know. ~Debbie

Clark’s body language shows a defeated dog. He makes little to no contact and is terrified. When he was rescued and brought to the shelter, he retreated to the corner of his kennel, hung his head low and barely moved.

His Name is Clark, Part 2 of 2. If you know anything at all about who caused this dog to be this terrified, please message me. I want to know. Debbie Wise McDonald

I don’t have a facebook, but can they contact Villalobos, I think they would know how to help or who these women can contact.

I think we all know who is responsible, where he lives and what he’s about. However, the code of the ghetto is “snitches get stitches,” so he’ll never be brought to justice. He’ll keep killing dogs that don’t want to fight. Pondscum!

I will be more than willing to help bail you out if you find this POS that did this to Clark. Time and patience are the only thing to make Clark trust again. My prayers for him
