A Texas man who abused a puppy so severely that the pup had to be humanely euthanized has been sentenced to 12 years in prison. According to CBS News, the puppy abuser, 27-year-old Andrew Callaway, was sentenced on Tuesday by Judge Mark Rusch .

Callaway has stated that he regretted his fit of rage which severely wounded the boxer mix puppy. The pup suffered multiple broken bones after Callaway hurled him against a wall. Efforts were made to save the puppy but the injuries proved to be too severe.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis commented on the abuser’s sentencing:

“The sense out there in our community — I think this is true across the nation — is that animal cruelty will not be tolerated. There’s no excuse for it and can’t be tolerated.”

Adding:

“We have to make sure that we have an evidence-based prosecution. Sometimes, things happen and we don’t have the evidence for a strong case. In this case, we did have the evidence and it helped.”

  1. Hope you enjoy the prison time you POS!!!! It should have been more; But .. it’s a start. Hey, maybe someone can give you a NICE BIG JAR of vaseline you heartless FUCK. I sure as hell hope you get some abuse done on you … DAILY!!!!

  2. Finally a judge that gives a sentence that might mean something. I still think he deserved more but at least he will be off the streets and unable to hurt something or someone else should he go into a “fit of rage”.

  3. Bubba? Please help this POS get his due when Andrew Callaway gets to prison. Little pup we cry for you. May you rest in peace. Lots of loving people will meet you at Rainbow Bridge.

  4. THANK YOU Judge Rusch for being one of the few who actually take animal abuse seriously and sentencing Andrew Calloway to a serious prison term – Now I truly hope this hunk of maggot puke gets his just due at the hands of all predatory inmates and his punk white ass is used and abuse in every way possible. He deserves no less for his cruelty to an innocent puppy. His BS regrets fell on deaf ears and may his prison term be one of pain and suffering.

  5. I do not care if he is an absolute ANGEL in jail…. do not let him out early. Also, if at all possible, lock him up with an animal lover…who is really big, mean and hates abusers!!!

  6. 12 years in prison is a super deturant for future lapses in judgement. But I have a feeling this super sentence will be over turned. It’s just too good to be true.

  7. “It’s not ok to hurt an animal,” says Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis.

Unless it’s a mourning dove, starling, quail, rabbit, sheep, squirrel, pheasant, grouse, duck, pig, whitetail deer, goose, partridge, mule deer, turkey, coyote, pronghorn antelope, bison, elk, bear, caribou, cow, moose, chicken, javelina, bighorn sheep, mountain lion, mountain goat, lamb, wolf, wolverine, fish, musk ox, crow, sparrow, etc.

It’s perfectly okay to hurt any of those animals (we do it to 60 billion+ annually), but hurt a dog and you’ll get 12 years in prison.

Please, I beg of you, research cognitive dissonance.
