Loyalty of a dog: Buckle embedded in her neck but her tail still wagged

So often it is the loyalty of a dog that wins over our hearts. Some dogs protect our soldiers, some dogs help the physically challenged and some dogs provide the emotional support our veterans deserve after bravely serving our country. Other dogs might now have specific jobs, but nonetheless their loyalty never isn’t diminished.

The Sabine Humane Society Animal Shelter reminds us again how much we love our dogs. Freedom was brought in on Wednesday as a stray. Her story began:

“I discovered her collar was very tight while I was doing her exam,” the organization wrote on their Facebook page. “I lifted her head to find the buckle and collar was imbedded in her neck. We were all in shock. There was no way we could remove it, so we took her to the vet and they removed the collar and stitched her up.”

The entire time Freedom sat in the exam room, she wagged her tail.

“She is the sweetest little dog and loves people. That is the loyalty of a dog and why I love them so much.”

The Sabine Humane Society Animal Shelter wants to remind pet owners to check your pet’s collar daily or weekly. Puppies grow quickly, yet the collar stays the same. Eventually the collar will cut into a dog’s skin and the skin will grow around the collar. Who can even imagine the pain?

Freedom is currently on medication and will be available for adoption as soon as she is better. Please don’t shop when you can adopt. Check out the beautiful companions here who want to show you their loyalty and love.

Get well soon Freedom.

May Freedom get the safe loving home she obviously never had before – glad she is receiving the medical attention – now all she needs is someone to love and take care of her. Whoever gets her will never regret it.

whatever happened to commonsense? I think a lot of people are just plain stupid. there is No excuse for treating any animal abusively.
