Lonely Gracie just wants to cuddle up in someone’s lap, but no one has come forward to help. According to the Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society of Henderson, NC, Gracie was surrendered to the Vance County Animal Shelter in early April. A volunteer offered the following information:

“Meet Gracie! She was surrendered to the shelter, she truly thinks she is a lap dog. She is gorgeous girl yet goofy. Gracie is not comfortable around smaller animals we are unsure of how she will react. Gracie’s hold is up 4/5/18 and can be killed any time after that date at the discretion of the shelter staff.”

Although Gracie needs a special kind of home or foster care situation, she is just two-years-old and has a long life ahead of her if she is rescued.

HEARTWORM: POSITIVE (She has been started on ivermectin)

HOLD IS UP ON: 4/5/18
Available for 501C3 Rescue or adoption
Located in Vance County Animal Shelter

will share on FB. My concerns with Pet Rescue Report is why are they asking me for my email address? I have skipped after making comments regarding a case involving Bobo. You should not be asking to give our email addresses. Why should we be asked to expose our email address only to be harassed by those that are trolls and against our beliefs for animal rights. With the Pet Rescue Report asking us for our emails…shame on you!!!!!! Asking for an email address should NOT be an option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what are you referencing? Emails are only input if someone wants to subscribe to receive notifications of new articles published – and they aren’t public. Nobody is asking for your email address or to publish it anywhere publicly.

I am confused. Says the hold is up in APRIL 2018. Is this old news or am I just having a misunderstanding.
