A Lancaster, California woman was so worried about two dogs being dragged alongside of a car while a man drove, she rushed out to video the disturbing situation on Saturday. Desiree Durst saw a man holding the leash of one large dog outside the window of his vehicle and another dog running freely very close to the rear tires of the car.
According to KtlaNews, the incident occurred on a rural Palmdale road and Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies state they are investigating the incident. The video shows the man driving the car with what appears to be German shepherds. At one point, the man stops, puts the dogs inside the car and then lets them out again – this time leaving the dogs alone for an undetermined amount of time.
Durst was concerned the dogs were running very close to the tires of the vehicle, and it would have been very easy for one of the dogs to get hurt. She tried to get the driver’s attention, but stated he was annoyed with her and became very belligerent before driving away.
“I know what I’m doing; mind your own business,” the dog owner told the women.
The driver has not been publicly identified. More updates as they are made available.
