In Warren, Michigan, photos of cruel treatment showing a man power washing his two German shepherds has been shared more than 77,000 times causing social outrage. The photos and accompanying video captured three people pulling up to the Wash Stop car wash, tie up the two dogs to a rail and then brush them with auto soap and power wash them.
According to WxyzNewsDetroit, car wash owner, Nicole Gatto Ross was horrified and immediately called the police, describing the soap had covered the dogs from head to tail including their eyes. The soap contains chemicals that is meant to get “bugs and gunk” off cars while the temperature of the water can exceed 110 degrees with a pressure of 1,200 PSI.
Police arrived and filed a report and have requested the City of Warren file animal cruelty charges; one charge for each dog. On Tuesday morning, the Warren Police stated the dog owner has agreed to turn the dogs over to a third party of his choosing. The dogs have been vet checked and are reported to be fine.
The owner allegedly admits that he made a mistake and told authorities that he thought if he stood far enough away from the pressure of the hose, the dogs wouldn’t suffer any harm. He also stated he was not aware that the chemicals used in the car wash could harm the dogs.

With some of the things mine have gotten into, I sometimes would have liked to use the car wash to bathe them but knowing it would hurt them would stop me from even considering it. I suppose he would like us to chalk this up to ignorance on his part but you should know this would hurt your dogs, I highly doubt he would want to be blasted with one of these high power hoses and chemicals so why would you do it to your dogs? When are people going to start using their heads for something other than a hat rack?
Let’s give him a bath at the car wash and see if we stand a little a ways from him would it still hurt. Idiot, people like this deserve to own NO PETS!!!

That idiot who tortured his 2 dogs at a car wash should of been arrested on the spot. That strong psi had to of been very painful to those innocent babies. Imagine being pulmated with something so severe, must of felt like your skin being ripped from your body. Not to mention the chemicals sprayed into the eyes !!! His act was pure torture, painful, confusing, fear. I pray he goes to prison for years for his vicious act. The female too, she played an active part!!!

It’s one thing to hose down your pet in your backyard if he just rolled himself in manure……. quite another to “power wash” in a car wash using high pressure water & harsh chemicals…..
Those poor furbabies………. I wonder if he sticks his kids in a centrifuge to “clean” their dirty diapers…….
