In Chicago, a jealous husband has been charged with animal cruelty after police accused him of throwing two small dogs off a second floor balcony after a fight with his wife.

According to Fox News, Chicago Police Officer Jennifer Byrk stated one dog – a 17-year-old Chihuahua died as a result of the fall, and a second dog ran away and as of Tuesday morning had not been found.

The incident occurred on Monday evening when a woman reported to officers that her husband had slapped her twice after telling her she loved her dogs more than she loved him. That’s when the man allegedly grabbed the dogs and threw them off the balcony.

This is a developing story. The man has not been charged yet and his name is currently unavailable.

  1. The POS who threw 2 helpless dogs off a balcony will burn in Hell forever for his cruelty. I hope he gets there ASAP after dying a horrible death alone, afraid, in pain and unloved……. If he were MY husband, I would be in jail and his useless carcass would be in the morgue……

RIP precious little treasure, your life was stolen from you (& your life mattered). I am absolutely heartbroken for your trauma & death.

I am so sorry you were failed so horribly by humans, especially those you loved and trusted…….

Please look for MacKitty in Heaven and he will welcome you into his snuggle buddies group. You can RIP amongst his loving friends……..

I am praying that the other precious little treasure is found soon, safe and unharmed…….

  2. And why hasn’t the man been charged yet? This woman needs to press charges otherwise she will be next! RIP baby Chi and I hope the other dog is found soon.

  3. Throw the SOB off a high balcony –hopefully a triangular-shaped one where he bounces all the way down. I know Chicago has this type of building.

  4. One of the reasons I am glad to be single. If your partner is not with you 100% regarding the animals in your life (let alone if he or she demonstrates any jealousy or resentment), GET AWAY!!

  5. When police heard what he did, they should have pushed him off the balcony at he did to these two small dogs causing the death of one and the other ran away. Hope they find the one who survived the fall and is ok. This creature does not deserve to live another day. The punishment should fit the crime. More judges need to sentence these vile monsters to what they did to these animals.

  6. My Thoughts and Prayers that the remaining little dog will be found safe and well, and found a wonderful furever family. RIP to the precious little one who’s life was stolen from him/her. If the woman has a brain, she won’t go back to her partner if and when he’s released from custody. What on earth made her stay so long with such a volatile person? I hope the perpetrator gets the full force of the justice system and never allowed near any animal ever again.

  8. According to a more recent report, the perpetrator is Jerald Jeske, a Chicago attorney, and according to that report:

“Jerald Lee Jeske remained in custody at the Cook County Jail on Wednesday, December 26, according to online records. Jeske appeared in court for the first time on Wednesday and was ordered held on $100,000 bond after a bail hearing, the Chicago Tribune reports. His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, December 31, the newspaper reports.”
