“I’m a good boy.” If only Simba could find a home of his own. The four-year-old friendly pooch has just been administered his heartworm treatment and needs a quiet place to recuperate. This handsome fellow has been at the Genesee County Animal Control since 2017 and needs to be out of the shelter. Poor Simba is so “over being in a cage almost 24/7.”

A volunteer writes:

“He’s such a sweet boy. He loves to play with his toys… laying on a doggie bed in the adoption room. He’d love a home to do that in. We would suggest older, respectful children.

It’s heartbreaking to see how Simba just doesn’t want to go back to his kennel. Share his plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. A quiet place, with no stress and a place he can rest and be loved would be Simba’s dream. Can you help him?

  1. Zimba is a perfect dog and is trained and loves people. What more does anyone want in a forever member of their family. Anyone near this shelter should go there and take him for a walk. I bet you will fall in love with him and you will hate to put him back in his kennel just as much as he doesn’t want to go.

  2. Please help him someone! He’s intelligent and sweet! Why can’t they put a bed in his kennel?! It’s so uncomfortable poor thing!
