This week, hundreds of animals were seized from one property in Grimes County, Texas. According to multiple sources, the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office and the Houston Humane Society worked together to rescue nearly 300 dogs and miniature horses from property in the 7000 block of State Highway 30 in the Carlos Community.

Officials found 242 dogs, including Pomeranians, Min Pins and Chinese Crested dogs,  living in squalid conditions – 49 miniature horses and ponies, showing signs of severe neglect, were also rescued. KAGS TV reported:

Upon arrival, law enforcement investigating the site found one dead horse and several dead dogs scattered around the property. Authorities confirmed that animals had been seized from the property before. The owner still has not been charged.

Dozens of dogs were found living in rusted wire cages which were stacked on top of each other. The animals are suffering from various maladies resulting from neglect, including being malnourished and having parasite infestations.

As reported by KBTX News, the search warrant was obtained after an anonymous report was made to the authorities about concerning conditions at the property. The animals removed from the home are receiving veterinary care.

  1. They did a raid before and the owner not charged? WHY!! Look at the hooves of that mini horse. Horrible condition and unbearable for them to walk around not to mention all the other dogs they confiscated from this raid. Charge this owner with a million charges and put him/her in a cage for the rest of their lives. They should be made to pay for all the care of these animals. Please keep us informed as to what happens to all these animals.

  2. OMG: those hooves make me cringe (our horses see their farrier every 8 weeks)…..

Those poor dogs too…… WTF were these so-called humans thinking??? Please lock them up and lose the keys!!!!!!!!!

I hope all the animals seized survive and are rehomed into wonderful furever homes where they will be treated as beloved family members…….
