An elderly dog, who appears to be horribly neglected, is in desperate need of help at a busy California animal control agency. The 14-year-old dog, named Tye, was brought to the Carson Animal Services facility on June 9 – he is currently in quarantine and waiting to be saved.

A plea for help

After Tye arrived, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, issued a plea for help on behalf of the neglected senior dog:

🚨 Shelter is Filling up! 🚨

He looks so neglected and sad and he needs some help now, he probably never felt loved and cared for in his 14 years of life 💔 Please SHARE for his life, he’s SO special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save him. Thanks!

  1. Holy Cow!!! How Brutal and Evil the Putrid and Vile Person that has this poor fellow is!!! Yet I see no charges what-so-ever!!! I hope against hope that Even Carson Shelter ( that I have read about over the years) can see the look of despair and help this guy find someone to care for him and hold off on the euthanize they are so damn quick to administer!!! What about “Frosted Faces”!!!

  2. If you live in the area you can foster this dog until a permanent home is found. At his age he may not have many more years, so if you can help him, that sad face will turn into a happy, loving one. How do you have an elderly dog and then dump them? Would you do that to your parents or even grandparents. Even if you know a rescue that would take him temporarily. He needs a loving place to live now.

  3. OMG!!!Poor poor poor baby, Tye! I pray someone will come forward an offer this gentle guy a loving home!! So sad to see him in such a neglected state!

  4. Someone give him a blanket or something to lay on. That concrete is hard on the bones. And Where is the water bowl ??? Maybe a toy or two also. Someone foster this baby. I live to far away to do it.
