A woman in Parkland, Florida, made a horrifying discovery on Sunday afternoon. According to WSVN News, while riding her bike along Nob Hill, a woman named Stephanie spotted something just a few feet from the roadway – when she got closer, she realized that it was the body of a discarded dog who was bound in duct tape and wrapped in plastic.
The dumped dog
The local authorities have confirmed that the dog was “clearly” deceased by the time that Stephanie found him. The unfortunate finder of the dog recounted what she saw:
“It looked like the size of a 60 to 70-pound dog wrapped in a garbage bag with a towel wrapped around his torso and duct tape over his snout, over his legs, over the back of him. Someone just dumped him on the side of the road like garbage.”
The search for answers
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office is searching for answers – the deceased dog showed signs of being injured on the head. The body has been sent to a veterinary hospital for a necropsy.
Anyone with information is asked to reach out to Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Information can be submitted anonymously and there may be a reward of up to $3,000.
