In Oklahoma City, a homeless man and his puppy had recently been attacked and kicked during a street altercation. The man needed help, but it wasn’t for himself; instead he reached out for someone to help his six-month-old puppy named Baby.
Maria Latham, the director of Country Roads Animal Rescue, wanted to help and reached out to the rescue community through social media.
“URGENT help needed RIGHT NOW. This very sweet homeless man Timothy and his dog Baby were recently attacked by people on the street. He was repeatedly kicked and so was Baby Timothy is asking for TEMPORARY help with his dog as he is fearing for her life. He has a backpack and everything in it is for his darling dog. She is up-to-date on vaccines, six months old and sweet with everyone. We are looking for a kind person who will open their heart and home to baby for a month or two until Timothy has secured housing and can reclaim her. Please email us right away if you can open your heart and home to this angel at [email protected].”
It didn’t take long before kindness and compassion flooded the rescue’s Facebook page. A woman offered to foster Baby and while preparing to pick the puppy up in her car, Timothy had been making preparations for the dog he truly loves.
“She is such a sweetheart! Obviously very well cared for and LOVED!!! Timothy even had a bag ready of all her things: food, treats, food and water bowls, flea, tick, heartworm meds. He takes far better care of her than so many in a much better position than him!!! I am beyond impressed and blown away,” Baby’s foster mom, Holly Perez wrote.
Timothy has been checked into a hotel and hopes to find a job and provide a home for both of them. To help, a GoFundMe link can be followed here.

Thank you for opening your home to someone that needed help with his angel. Very kind of you. Our planet needs more people like you and none of the type that was cruel and heartless to Timothy and Baby. Praying that Timothy get the help he needs quickly so they can be a family again sooner than later.

What a sad story but thanks to good people in this world, Baby will be well taken care of temporarily until Timothy finds a place for both of them to live in so he can also get a job to support them both. Thanks to Holly for her fostering Baby and providing us with such an adorable picture on their way home in the car.God bless all of you and please keep us informed as to how they are all doing.

Timothy may have been down on his luck, but –together. he and Baby will go far. Homeless and broke, Timothy has integrity. We need to help him and Baby get a safe place to live. Open your purse just a little because it helps lots.
