A hero dog, taking a hike with his owner in the Anthem desert on Friday, jumped out in front of a rattlesnake. The Golden retriever, named Todd was bitten in the face. Paula Godwin told the story about her hero pooch on Facebook.
“It was a beautiful morning but as we were walking down the hill I literally almost stepped on a mf rattlesnake. But my hero of a puppy Todd saved me. He jumped right in front of my leg where I surely would have got bit. This is what a hero looks like. Please say a little prayer for my sweet hero,” she said.
Todd was rushed to an emergency veterinarian. The bite caused the dog’s face to swell, but he is expected to make a full recovery.
“My hero of a puppy Todd saved me.”

“Todd’s doing so well he is a wonder to me how he is healing. Just a thank you to all the support Your kindness and support is truly a blessing.”

This owner, like the owners of two Goldens they took on a long hike in 115 degree heat in Death Valley, knowingly subjected her poor dog to certain death, as this is rattlesnake season. Baby rattlers are even more venemous than their parents. The dog was a victim of it’s owner’s stupidity& irresponsibility.
Are you that stupid? You must be a Trump supporter.
The article says the dog is going to make a complete recovery.
Not nice … We are all in this to help animals.
And what a beautiful hero. Lots and lots of treats and hugs. Praying for his full recovery
God bless you, little angel hero Todd!
Todd is such a great hero!! I pray he makes a full recovery ! Yippee!!
One of my dogs got bitten by a rattler. He had to spend the night at the vets, but came home with just a little tell-tell swelling. It is important to seek medical intervention asap to give your pet the best chance to recover. I’m curious what they are charging for anti-venem these days?
