In San Leon, Texas, a video of horse tied and being dragged behind a white pickup truck has gone viral. The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying the person(s) involved in the apparent animal cruelty.
According to AbcNews, the video appeared on social media Monday afternoon and outraged the community. Deputies suspect the culprits might be local teens. Authorities have spoken to a juvenile who allegedly recorded the disturbing event, however the driver of the truck has not been identified.
“It’s something the sheriff’s office doesn’t tolerate, and we’re exhausting all efforts to find out who the culprit is at this time,” Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Michael Roy stated.
It is not known if the horse was injured.
