In Indianapolis, Indiana, a sleepy black and white pooch became trapped under his owner’s rocking chair on Saturday. One can only imagine what Officer Carrier had to have been thinking when he received a radio call to assist a citizen who said his dog was caught between the bars of a rocking chair.
According to the Facebook page of the IMPD East District, Officer Carrier found the dog named Oreo stuck – which apparently happened after the dog crawled under there to sleep. The task proved more complicated than the officer anticipated, and the IFD were called in to assist in freeing the dog. And it was a success; Oreo was safe!
The citizen helped during the dog’s rescue was extremely grateful; calling Officer Carrier “truly a life saver.” Even after the incident, Officer Carrier went back to the home to check on Oreo’s welfare.
“Join us in thanking Officer Carrier and the firefighters from IFD for answering this house call and going above and beyond to save ‘man’s best friend'”, the organization posted.
And we all so agree. Officer Carrier you are a hero. Doesn’t this just make our hearts melt?
