A handsome “old” dog (eight years young!) is in need of a place to call home. Hal has been at the Carson Animal Services facility, in Gardena, California, since March 3. Though this old boy’s information has been shared thousands of times, nobody has decided to take a chance and give him a home.

The volunteer-run Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page wrote:

He’s handsome and mature and has great energy and he needs help now. Please SHARE, he’s SO special he needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER NOW. Thanks!

Hal needs a home – a real home, not a lonely kennel run. Please help make this old boy’s twilight years the best they can be by taking a moment to network his adoption information.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you have to do more than just “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

  1. Senior pets are the best! They love and appreciate the care they receive when adopted and will follow you every where. You are their savior and they will do anything you want. Have gotten senior dogs and they are devoted and would rather be with you than eat (well, sometimes).

  2. PLEASE! Someone with a kind heart adopt this guy – you will never regret it – senior dogs are wonderful pets. He needs out of this so called ‘shelter’ – Carson is well known for not holding on to animals – they will kill him very soon. Please be a goodhearted human and give him a safe loving home for his remaining years.

  3. If this (A5155306 named Hal) is still waiting – I’ll adopt him. I’m in Michigan. Can this be worked out?
